Join us for hike up our ridge line trail to watch the sunset behind Mt. Hamilton with a picnic dinner. Male tarantulas emerge from their burrows from September through mid October to find a mate. We’ve seen a few of these gentle giants and expect to see more over the next few weeks.
Tarantulas are generally nocturnal so we’ll look out for the furry arachnids as we hike down the trail just after sunset.
Pack a picnic dinner or buy one from the restaurant, we’ll climb up to our tallest peak and settle in for brilliant sunset and then search for tarantulas on our way back down.
Tent camping will be available for $10/tent/night and $10/car/night in our group site.
