We didn’t start with a business plan; we started with a shared obsession for a more resilient future. We actually met in a group of people looking to build an intentional community—a place where humans could live in a way that gives back to the earth instead of just taking from it.
When we found this specific patch of 150 acres in 2024, the rest of the group wasn’t quite ready—but we were. We had fallen in love with this land, and each other. We share a passion for the simple stuff—riding our bikes instead of driving, eating real food that actually tastes like the soil it grew in, and the belief that humans aren’t “visitors” in nature. We are nature.
In 2024, we decided to jump in together. We aren’t just building a farm; we’re building a life where we can breathe the air, feel the wind, and listen to the birds as neighbors, not just background noise.

The Team
Molly McGee
she/her

I’ve been a ‘critter person’ since I was ten, starting with chickens in urban Alameda. I spent four years as a goat dairy farmer in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Sierra Foothills (yes, I’ve rented out goats for grazing!), and even worked on state policies to help small-scale dairies. As a realtor focused on creating intentional communities, my focus is helping people find ways to live together in low-impact, high-joy ways. But The Rainbow Junction is truly a family venture; raising my two daughters on this property is the ultimate gift. We’re weaving our family into the landscape so we can all learn what it means to be part of the earth together. You’ll usually find me with muddy toes and a pocket full of seeds, with the girls adventuring nearby.
